The IEEE KSYP Smart Living Congress kicks off with the Pre-IEEE KSYP Innovation Expo at Strathmore University. This full-day event will feature a diverse Innovation Expo where students and young professionals showcase their innovative projects. A Flea Market provides SMEs with an opportunity to sell products and services, creating an interactive space for both discovery and networking. The Expo also includes entertainment activities like dancing, board games, and team-building exercises, making it a fun and engaging day. Attendees will receive gift hampers upon registration, creating a welcoming start to the Congress

Day 1 of the Congress officially opens at The Panari Hotel with check-in and registration from 8:00 a.m. Attendees will be welcomed by keynote speeches from distinguished IEEE representatives and leaders from academia, industry, and government, setting a high-energy tone for the day. This session highlights the Congress’s themes, exploring the potential of Smart Living, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship to transform society.
A tea break follows, offering a chance for informal networking before attendees break out into workshops and panel discussions led by IEEE Societies. These sessions cover relevant topics and include an introduction to IEEE’s various Societies, providing insights into IEEE’s role in advancing technology and professional development.
After a lunch break, participants will engage in round-table discussions led by Young Professionals, where groups of 15-20 people collaborate to address challenges and solutions related to smart living, innovation, and entrepreneurship. This session fosters an open exchange of ideas among industry experts, graduate students, and innovators.
The day continues with a panel session focused on entrepreneurship, followed by poster pitching where IEEE Student Branches, Young Professionals, and Affinity Groups present their 2024 achievements. A voting session allows participants to recognize standout contributions. The day concludes with evening tea and further networking opportunities before attendees depart.

The final day at The Panari Hotel opens with arrival and registration, followed by keynote speeches from industry leaders and IEEE Society representatives, focusing on innovations and trends shaping the future. The morning tea break offers additional networking opportunities before attendees proceed to industry-led breakout sessions. These workshops will feature one-hour presentations on Smart Living, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, providing valuable industry insights.
The business pitching session in the afternoon allows six groups to present their entrepreneurial ideas in a competitive setting. This is followed by a panel discussion on mentorship, where seasoned professionals share career advice and strategies for navigating the tech landscape.
In the evening, attendees prepare for the Gala Dinner and Prom Night at The Boma Hotel. The Gala begins with registration and meal serving, accompanied by a dance performance. The awarding ceremony will recognize the top three business pitches, outstanding poster presentations, and contributions by the organizing team, speakers, and sponsors. The night wraps up with a lively Prom Night, allowing attendees to celebrate, connect, and close the Congress on a high note.
