The Career Fair hopes to have a significant impact by bringing together representatives from various industries to share and exchange ideas. Results of academic research in all fields of engineering, science, and technology will be disseminated within and outside of universities, research institutes, TVETs, and industry for the benefit of society at large. By relating what participants learn into real-world operations from the perspective of industry, this will assist students bridge the gap between academia and industry.

Stacy Awinja

Design Studio Manager, Rice360 Invention Education Program- Kenyatta University.

Stacy holds a Bsc. in Biomedical Engineering from Kenyatta University with experience in technical training, field service engineering, machine design, quality control of medical devices, healthcare innovation incubation and clinical engineering. She is certified by the Engineers Board of Kenya, and is a member of the IEEE Engineers in Medicine and Biology Society. In her current role, she is supervising the establishment and operationalization of an Innovation Design Studio that will be a development hub for hardware technologies and is tied to a Masters program in Medical Device Innovation.

Onesmus Muli

Global Market Leader in PV and ESS

An innovative and visionary leader in commercial , business development & operations with 13 years’ experience in Renewable Energy, Media, Manufacturing and Banking. Vast experience in understanding customer pain points and designing solutions that solve the problems through value propositions and quality of service delivery. Highly equipped with both commercial and financial skills; budgeting and resource allocation. Holds a Masters in Finance (Finance and Investments) and Bachelor in Arts (Economics) Currently working with Jinko Solar a Global Market Leader in PV and ESS manufacturing as a Senior Sales Manager for East Africa.

Kipkurui Brian

Hardware engineer at Mazi Mobility

Kipkurui Brian is a Hardware engineer at Mazi Mobility, with a strong focus on electric vehicle (EV) technology. As an EV enthusiast, he has gained significant hands-on experience through practical training, working on various aspects of EV systems, including EV batteries, battery management systems (BMS), and charging infrastructure. He has actively interacted with and worked on EV batteries, enhancing his understanding of battery technology and management. Brian’s expertise extends to integrating mechanical, electrical, and software systems to optimize EV solutions, reflecting his commitment to the future of electric mobility.

Kevin Odero is an IoT Product Lead at Angaza Elimu, driving innovation in EdTech. As an Arm Ambassador and Tech trainer, he's passionate about empowering developers with practical skills to create impactful solutions. Pius Wathome is an E-Mobility Advisor at TVET GIZ Kenya, where he plays a pivotal role in advancing technical and vocational education and training (TVET) programs to meet the growing demands of the e-mobility sector. With a strong focus on capacity building, he works on fostering skills development in electric vehicle technology, promoting sustainable transportation, and supporting green job creation in Kenya. Pius is passionate about empowering young professionals and enhancing the country's technical expertise in the rapidly evolving e-mobility industry. His work contributes to building a skilled workforce for Kenya's clean energy future.

John Msingo

E-mobility technical trainer and consultant

John Msingo is an E mobility technical trainer and consultant. He is the Chief Revenue Officer of EVChaja, a company that supplies , installs , operates and maintains four wheeler charging infrastructure mainly for fleets . He is also the director of partnerships of AfricaNEV a non profit whose aim is to accelerate E mobility adoption on the continent through capacity building , policy advocacy and creating awareness . He was a member of the EMAK ( E-Mobility Association of Kenya) steering committee. He has helped build a network that allows EV owners to travel across the country. He helped organize the first and second open technical E mobility trainings in Eastern Africa.

My professional background includes substantial experience in formulating and implementing health and safety plans, ensuring strict adherence to policies and regulations. I possess proficiency in training and delivering presentations on Renewable Energy and health and safety topics. Additionally, I excel in managing workforce planning, human resource development, and fostering positive employee and labor relations.

Njeri Ngaruiya Ng’ang’a

faculty lecturer and ICT4D consultant

Njeri Ngaruiya Ng’ang’a (PhD) is a faculty lecturer and ICT4D consultant, dedicated to leveraging technology for social and economic development in low- and middle-income communities. With a PhD in Information Systems from the University of Nairobi, she has extensive experience in crafting and implementing user-centered, community-led technological solutions across various sectors, including health, education, agriculture, gender equality, and financial inclusion. Currently serving as a faculty lecturer at Strathmore University, Dr. Ngaruiya engages in teaching, research, and mentoring students while working as a senior researcher and consultant in ICT4D.

Aaliyah Tahir Iqbal

Electrical Power Systems Engineer

An Electrical Power Systems Engineer with vast experience in the entire renewable energy value chain; solar, wind and now e-mobility. She’s worked as the Project Associate at the E-Mobility Association of Kenya (EMAK), a Research Associate/Project Manager at the Africa E-Mobility Alliance (AfEMA) and just recently the E-Mobility Lead at the East African Grand Prix. Currently the Digital Skills and Communications Specialist as well as Marketing Assistant at WTS Energy International - Kenya. She’s an avid football and F1 supporter pursuing an interest in football business whilst volunteering with Football Foundation Africa as its Sustainability Lead and Partnerships Coordinator.
