- Healthcare Technologies: Advances in telemedicine, wearables and fitness trackers, smart healthcare devices, energy-efficient hospital equipment, and personalized healthcare.
- Energy Efficiency: Smart grids, renewable energy solutions and integrations, and energy conservation technologies.
- Smart Agriculture: Innovations in precision farming, livestock wellbeing, automated farming systems, pre- and post-harvest technologies, food storage technologies, etc.
Team Composition
The teams can be composed of a minimum of one member and a maximum of 5 members. At least one member per team must have an active IEEE Student Member subscription. Team members can be from different universities.

Judging Criteria
General Guidelines:
- Judges will evaluate projects based on a predetermined set of criteria.
- Each criterion will be assigned a point value, with the total score determining the project’s ranking.
- All projects will be judged fairly and consistently.
Problem Definition and Understanding (20 points):
- Is the problem clearly identified and well-defined?
- Does the project address a significant need or challenge?
- Does the team demonstrate a deep understanding of the problem and its context?
Creativity and Innovation (20 points):
- Does the project present a unique and original solution to the problem?
- Does the project demonstrate creative thinking and problem-solving skills?
- Does the project push boundaries and explore new approaches?
Feasibility and Implementation (20 points):
- Is the project technically feasible and achievable within the given constraints (time, resources)?
- Does the project have a clear plan for implementation?
- Does the team demonstrate the skills and knowledge necessary to carry out the project
Impact and Sustainability (20 points):
- What is the potential impact of the project?
- Does the project address a real-world problem and offer a viable solution?
- Is the project sustainable in the long term? (environmental, social, economic)
Presentation and Communication (20 points):
- Is the project clearly and effectively communicated (written report, presentation, demonstration)?
- Does the presentation engage the audience and hold their interest?
- Does the team effectively answer questions from the judges?
- Does the team have a prototype or design or simulation for their proposed project?
