Stacy holds a Bsc. in Biomedical Engineering from Kenyatta University with experience in technical training, field service engineering, machine design, quality control of medical devices, healthcare innovation incubation and clinical engineering. She is certified by the Engineers Board of Kenya, and is a member of the IEEE Engineers in Medicine and Biology Society. In her current role, she is supervising the establishment and operationalization of an Innovation Design Studio that will be a development hub for hardware technologies and is tied to a Masters program in Medical Device Innovation.

John Msingo is an E mobility technical trainer and consultant. He is the Chief Revenue Officer of EVChaja, a company that supplies , installs , operates and maintains four wheeler charging infrastructure mainly for fleets . He is also the director of partnerships of AfricaNEV a non profit whose aim is to accelerate E mobility adoption on the continent through capacity building , policy advocacy and creating awareness . He was a member of the EMAK ( E-Mobility Association of Kenya) steering committee. He has helped build a network that allows EV owners to travel across the country. He helped organize the first and second open technical E mobility trainings in Eastern Africa.

With a PhD in Information Systems from the University of Nairobi, she has extensive experience in crafting and implementing user-centered, community-led technological solutions across various sectors, including health, education, agriculture, gender equality, and financial inclusion. Currently serving as a faculty lecturer at Strathmore University, Dr. Ngaruiya engages in teaching, research, and mentoring students while working as a senior researcher and consultant in ICT4D.

She’s worked as the Project Associate at the E-Mobility Association of Kenya (EMAK), a Research Associate/Project Manager at the Africa E-Mobility Alliance (AfEMA) and just recently the E-Mobility Lead at the East African Grand Prix. Currently the Digital Skills and Communications Specialist as well as Marketing Assistant at WTS Energy International - Kenya. She’s an avid football and F1 supporter pursuing an interest in football business whilst volunteering with Football Foundation Africa as its Sustainability Lead and Partnerships Coordinator.

Omondi Agar is a member of the BRICS YEA Expert Group (Nuclear Science and Technology) His academic background in Nuclear and Quantum Engineering is from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in Daejeon South Korea, KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm Sweden, ESADE in Barcelona, Spain & Universite Paris-Saclay in Paris France. His professional experience is in the design of advanced nuclear reactors such as the Lead Bismuth Eutectic Cooled MYRRHA Reactor currently under construction at the Belgian Nuclear Research Centre (SCK-CEN) and currently with the proposed Molten Salt system being developed by Thorium Network. He is also the founder of the Nuclear Society of Kenya.

PROF HAMEER HAS RESEARCH INTERESTS IN HELICOPTER AEROMECHANICS AND THERMOFLUIDS. PROF HAMEER ACHIEVED ALL HIS QUALIFICATIONS FROM THE GEORGIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY:- phd in aerospace engineering (2010), msC IN AEROSPACE ENGINEERING (2005), AND BSC IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING WITH HONORS (2003).

Martin Wafula is a DPhil candidate in Engineering Science at Oxford University, focusing on lossy graph compression under Prof. Justin Coon. He has teaching experience at Oxford and Multimedia University of Kenya and has worked with Rhodes Trust, PwC Nairobi, the Communications Authority, and Safaricom PLC. In his free time, he enjoys playing croquet. Presentation Abstract: In this presentation, I will argue that graph compression can enhance efficiency in sensor networks, particularly in IoT applications. I propose implementing graph compression during the topology discovery process for both centralized and decentralized protocols.

Earl Spencer Mogire is a Mechanical Engineer at Octavia Carbon Inc. under the Research and Development department. He is Kenyan-born and is registered as a Graduate Engineer by the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK). As an Octavian, he is part of the team that is the first to build and deploy Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology in the global south to reverse climate and end the fossil fuel age. As an R&D engineer, his primary focus is to design and develop cost-effective DAC machines which ultimately will bring the cost-per-tonne of CO2 down and give Octavia Carbon a competitive advantage in the DAC space. His expertise in computational fluid dynamics has been instrumental in the design and development of energy-efficient airflow systems which are core in DAC machines.
